In an array of techniques and subjects
created since the Year 2002!
A body of charming oil paintings on linen canvas with a defined yet subtle character. The artist has drawn pure inspiration from a collection of vintage postcards, photographs and film-negatives related to the history and culture of cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore.
‘Fascinating stories revealed on canvas with a touch of romantic nostalgia…’
Set in idyllic Mediterranean and Australian places, this collection of acrylic paintings on canvas, celebrates simple and precious pleasures of life. Sipping coffee, eating gelato, driving a scooter, reading a book or having brunch in an old ‘piazzetta‘ in Italy or by the Rocks in Sydney!
‘Bold, happy & extremely stylized figures sketched from real life!’
Winter wonder-land! One of the very first collection of paintings created by the artist and inspired by the Apennines Mountains located between Bologna and Florence in Italy, where Michele Righetti was born. All landscapes are depicted after heavy snow storms, emphasising on the peaceful calm of winter.
‘The collection was exhibited in Prahran, Melbourne, Australia in 2002 in collaboration with The Italian Institute Of Culture.’
Life’s precious moments depicted in vintage inspired oval shaped canvases. Romance, food, vespas, gardens, afternoon teas, sea-scapes and many other subjects realised in a realistic manner using oil on linen canvas.
‘Ovals are unique and charming, able to focus on particular subjects with fascinating details!’
